Jessica’s Turkey Burgers

The best turkey burger is the one you make at home. Sadly, most restaurants use frozen patties. This is a tasty blend of fresh ingredients, grilled, slathered with chipotle mayo, topped with arugula and served in a toasted brioche bun. Makes 3-4 burgers.

Time

Prep: 5 minutes

Cook: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 1/4 tsp of garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp Italian bread crumbs

  • 2 tbsp shredded Mexican cheese blend

  • 3 large fresh basil leaves, chopped

  • 2 sprigs fresh Italian parsley, chopped

  • Salt, pepper, cayenne pepper to taste

  • Fresh arugula

  • Brioche buns

  • Chipotle mayonnaise and ketchup

Directions

  1. Pre-heat your grill to 400 F. Clean and spray the grill with non-stick spray.

  2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl with a fork. Don’t overmix. Form into evenly sized burgers using your hands.

  3. Grill the burgers for 6-7 minutes on each side. Place the buns face down for the last 30 seconds.

  4. Slather with mayo, ketchup and arugula.
