Raspberry Clafoutis
An easy-to-make, comforting and delicious stew. Called “ishtew” in Kerala, India, this coconut milk-based, vegetable stew is a great meal idea any time of the day. Enjoy!
Coconut Veggie Kerala Stew
A comforting and delicious stew recipe from my mother-in-law, Rugmini. I modified it by adding mustard seeds and garlic. Called “ishtew” in Kerala, India, the land of coconuts, this vegan stew is a great meal idea any time of the day. The trick to this stew is having everything chopped and ready to go. Add any additional veggies you like! Serves 4.
Spinach & Cheese Quiche
A brunch favorite that’s easy to make and always a hit because it’s nicely balanced and not too eggy or cheesy. My twist to this classic dish is adding dollops of goat cheese on top and baking until golden brown.
Coconut Panna Cotta with Caramelized Banana
A delightful take on panna cotta that I discovered in Bali. My kids LOVE this light, refreshing dessert. Fast, easy and only a few ingredients. Great to make it the night before.
Lemon-Ginger Blueberry Cheesecake
Almost not a cheesecake, this is a whipped, refreshing treat with fresh blueberries and lemon. A buttery, homemade graham cracker crust makes it all the more to love. Use a pie plate or try a square pan for cutting into bars. My twist is a dash of ginger to complement the lemon and cream cheese.
Chai Biscotti
Cookies for breakfast or anytime of day! Crispy and sweet, dip into tea, coffee or, as the Tuscans do, dip into sweet red wines like Marsala wine and Vin Santo. A little time consuming than my usual recipes, but worth every second.
Honey-Lavender Butter
A super easy-to-make, fresh-herbed, luscious butter to smear over warm bread, biscuits or scones. Make your own butter or use store-bought as a faster option. Most lavender is edible but English lavender is best. Makes lovely gifts.
Pineapple Soufflé
Oh la la, when bread pudding rendez-vous’ with pineapple. A legend and an all-time favorite among my family & friends.
Mom’s Spaghetti Sauce
My mom's perfected recipe, inspired by my Italian grandfather and chef, Dino Pogni. Growing up, friends would beg to stay when they smelled the aromas. The secret is the fennel and sausage. Never settle for jarred sauce again! Buon appetito!
