Flourless Chocolate Torte

Fudgy, dense, and decadently rich, this is a treat for chocolate lovers. Each bite simply melts in your mouth! Inspired by Wolfgang Puck’s dense chocolate torte. Gluten-free and, as always, easy to make.

Time

Prep: 15 minutes

Cook: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 3 large eggs slightly beaten

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Butter an 8-inch springform cake pan. Set aside.

  2. Melt butter in a pan or microwave in a large bowl (30-seconds to 1 minute). Add chocolate chips and mix until smooth. Mix in the sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Add the eggs and stir until smooth. Add the cocoa powder and stir until just combined. Don't over-mix.

  3. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 25 minutes or until the cake has a thin crust on the top.

  4. Cool. Release the springform pan. Top with berries and powdered sugar.
